We left Perth at seven o’clock. We took the bus for about three hours to get to  Fort Augustus. It was long . We arrived at half past ten. We went to a souvenir shop before the show, at the Clansman Centre. It was interesting and funny. A man told us about life in the Highlands in the past. It was funny because Florian and Anouk were costumed with traditional clothes. At midday, we ate our picnic. Then we took the bus to the Loch Ness exhibition Centre. We discovered the origins of the lake and heard about the legend. Finally, we went to the shopping Centre in Inverness. It was great!

I liked this day because we learnt loads of things.

We woke up at half past five to take the bus at seven o’clock. We took the bus to the Loch Ness. During the trip we could see the beautiful landscape: large plains and snowy hills. When we arrived the teachers gave us a little free time because we were early. Then we went to a show presented by a man with a kilt. He talked about life from the 4th to the 18th century in the Highlands. Florian wore a kilt and Anouk a traditional dress. Then we had lunch near a little forest.

In the afternoon, we visited the Loch Ness Centre and Exhibition. We moved from one room to the other with a different movie in each. It was about Nessie’s legend. Before leaving we bought some souvenirs at the shop. Finally, we took the bus back to Perth.

At midday, we ate our sandwiches which were good. Then, we spent two hours in the Royal Mile where there were a lot of souvenir shops. After that, we took the bus for a quarter of an hour to get to the Royal Yacht Britannia. This big boat was very interesting to visit. It explained the Royal Family’s life when they travelled around the world. Finally, we took the bus again to go back to our families. So this day was really good because Edinburgh is a very beautiful town with its castle and its churches.

Goodbye, we hope that other visits will be as good as today. We’ll give you other information during the week. Bye!

Today, after a good night in the family ( in a real bed!) we took our first breakfast with them. Then we visited the capital city of Scotland: Edinburgh. Mrs Marylin, our guide showed us all the important and beautiful places of the city. We ate our lunch which was given by the family. After lunch, we had some free time in town. That was so cool to walk in the streets of Edinburgh listening to the bagpipes and to buy some souvenirs. In the afternoon, we visited the Royal Yacht, too expensive for you !! That was very interesting ! In the end we took the bus to go back to the family.

    Simon.
